IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Please do not call Second Chance for Animals about stray animals, finding your lost pet, or surrendering your pet(s). We are not a rescue group and we do not have animals.
If you want to report a sighting of a stray dog or cat (or injured animal) in the Township, it is recommended that you call the Franklin Township Police Department Non-Emergency number 732-873-5533 rather than the animal shelter. The police will radio our Animal Control Officers on your behalf.
If you live in Franklin Township and need to surrender an animal or have problems with strays, please call the Franklin Township Animal Shelter directly at 732 873-2500 ext. 6255. Make sure you leave a clear message and a number where your call can be returned. If you have an emergency, call the Police Department.
If you do not live in Franklin Township, please inquire with your Township to determine who you should call.
