The Neuter Scooter is Coming!

Prevent Unwanted Kittens!!!

The Neuter Scooter is a low cost spay/neuter shuttle service for cats that is affordable and so convenient!!
It is a project sponsored by People For Animals, Hillside, NJ.

The Neuter Scooter will come to our shelter when there is enough of a list of cats to support the trip.

Call 973 282  0890 or the Franklin Township Animal Shelter, 732 873-2500 extension 255 for an appointment or to get on the list.  If there is no scheduled date with the Neuter Scooter, you will be put on a list and notified as soon as a date is available.  Please confirm the fee.  This is a service from People For Animals and not Second Chance so we may not know if the fees have changed.

Please read carefully on how the shuttle works:

    1.  You deliver your cat to the Franklin Township Animal Shelter the day before your scheduled appointment.  The Neuter Scooter shuttle drives your cat to the clinic, where he/she is examined by a veterinarian and spends the night.

    2.  Your cat is spayed/neutered the next morning, and is returned back to the Shelter for you to pick up that evening.

3  You pay only the LOW COST fee for the spay or neuter.  The shuttle is free.

Please check the fee when making your appointment**
Fee includes:
Rabies and distemper vaccination
Examination by licensed vet

Call 973 282  0890 or the Franklin Township Animal Shelter, 732 873-2500 extension 255 for an appointment.

For a copy of a recent brochure, please check here.

**Spay/neuter surgery is discounted for senior citizens, those on public assistance, and those with outside cats.
