Foster Care Program
Many of the animals brought to the shelter do not thrive in such an environment. Kittens, particularly susceptible to disease, are at great risk. These animals would benefit greatly from being fostered in a loving home until they are able to return to the shelter or be adopted.
The foster care program is currently only open to Second Chance for Animals volunteers. If you are a volunteer in good standing for at least six months and have room in your home for some kittens or cats, please contact Katie at the shelter at 732 873-2500 ext. 255.
We will be posting more information about fostering here on this page. We will also be displaying pictures of animals currently in foster care as these guys are often overlooked because they are not at the shelter. However, their need for a permenant home is just as great. Potential adopters may contact the shelter to make arrangements to meet the animal. Adoptions are open to all qualified people.
