Important news - the Franklin Township Animal Shelter is now open for adoptions Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30 in addition to Tuesday-Saturday 12 - 3PM. We hope this will make it easier for working people to be able to find their new pets. (Volunteers are still welcome to come for our regularly scheduled socialization period which also is Thursday evenings between 5:30 and 7:30.)

SCFA is pleased to announce that we are the receipient of a $1,200 grant from the North Brunswick Humane Association. This grant will be used for our spay and neuter program in support of the Franklin Township Animal Shelter in Somerset NJ.
SCFA is happy to announce that we are the recipients of a $5000 grant from the Banfield Charitable Trust! This grant assists us with our program of providing pet food to the Franklin Food Bank. The Banfield Charitable Trust joins us in our belief that helping needy families feed their pets enables the families to keep the pets in the home where they are loved and cherished. We understand how terrible it is for both the families and the pets when forced to surrender the pets to a shelter. It also helps the shelter by reducing the number of surrendered animals.
