Donated items can be left at the shelter.  If the shelter is closed, you can leave them at the door.  Please include a note with your name and address if you need the donation acknowledged for tax purposed.

Second Chance for Animals, Inc. is a nonprofit volunteer group devoted to enhancing the lives, adoption rates, and experiences of the animals living in shelters.  We currently assist the Franklin Township, NJ Animal Shelter.  Learn more about us here, To learn more about adopting a pet from the Franklin Township Animal Shelter, please visit their web page at the petfinder.org web.

SCFA always need volunteers!  Due to cut-backs at the Township our help is needed more than ever.  We can always use folks in all areas of our group.  Call 732 748-SCFA (7232) and let us know you would like to help.  Be sure to leave a clear message and include how we can reach you.  You must be 18 or older in order to work with the animals.

Important news about the shelter

By now most of our members and some of the public are aware that Franklin Township has asked Second Chance for Animals to take over the shelter.  Our members have voted in the affirmative to the process of investigating what that would take.  We will be setting up a new section of this website to address questions and concerns as well as provide the latest news about our progress. Please check back often - we need your help and support more than ever!
